15th July, 2012. Chambery. I left Christine with some of our new friends on a bench after a day of strolling around this city and was intrigued by this alleyway. At the opposite end of the street I saw this plaque saying “Rue Basse de Chateau Une Rue du XIV eme avec des boutique” and I realised its historical importance. A street going back to the 14th century”. Unfortunately, once again, all the boutiques were closed. It would have been quite interesting looking into these old shops. There was a lone person walking through pulling a luggage which, I think, gave some life to the picture.
Thank you for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday’s shot. Your comments are so very much appreciated.
great processing and view up that alleyway - nice you've caught someone in shot to give some scale to these buildings - it feels as if you've processed this in sepia, but I'm not sure you have
This is just beautiful! I actually like the fact that the shops aren't open and bustling with business but instead there is a lonely figure walking "home". Beautiful shot Dione!
@olivetreeann@hjbenson@friendie Many thanks for your comments. No problem for me, Carole, if you want to sketch the picture, after all you can go and see the place - it's no invention of mine. By the way did the picture of the finished desk?
