Took this shot from this ferry boat’s sister ship while we were crossing the channelfrom Malta to Gozo for the week-end. The ferry boat in the picture is the Gaudos – an old name for Gozo.
The trip to Gozo takes about 20-25 minutes. The service is very efficient with 3 of these ferries making the crossings very frequently, and even providing shuttle service if there is heavy traffic between the two islands. There have been many cries from Gozitans who have to cross daily to Malta for a bridge or tunnel link. I hope this does not materialize because Gozo will not be such a great attraction for short breaks by the Maltese and also for the lot of income money for many Gozitans who earn their living (and much more) from internal as well as external tourism.
Thank yu very much for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
