On Saturday, when we were at my sister’s apartment in Xaghra, Gozo for the weekend, I woke up early on purpose to take some sunrise shots. I got out of bed in my pygamas and with my eyes half-closed got hold of the camera which I had prepared on the bedside table and walked over to the living area where there is a magnificent view of the valley which divides Xaghra from Nadur. Altoghether we were 3 couples in the apartment and I walked on tiptoes not to wake up the rest. But I almost got the scare of my life when I saw a silhouette against the glass of the large balcony doors. It was my sister-in-law, after all, who was up before me and who sat on a deckchair watching the sun rise slowly over the hill. Naturally she made a good shot to capture and so here it is.
