…….. Pyrrhula. Congratulations, you have one a prize of 1,000,000 euros excluding tax. You will have to collect the money personally as soon as I save it. My advice was to save one cent every day so, if you can wait a few 100 years you may be rich. I knew that somebody would guess from the first comments by Howard Steele who almost hit the nail on the head with his ‘tooth picks’ suggestion in the very first comment.
These are two shots of the sailing ship I posted yesterday. The ship is made of matchsticks and I made it myself some 30 or 35 years ago. My wife wanted me to liven it up a bit as it had become a bit shabby, so I gave it a bit of varnish. I had copied it from a single black and white picture which I found in one of my reading books of the time. I had to design the structure of the hull and the other parts myself.
As regards the shot itself, I had to build it up. The sea and sky were borrowed from the internet; the left hand point of rock is from a shot of Marslforn (Gozo); the right hand one is from Xlendi (Gozo); the rock in the middle is from the opposite side of Marsalforn; the man is from a shot I took at Ta’ Xbiex and the two gulls, I captured in Sliema. The shadows are my work on photoshop.
Thank you very much for looking and for your interest in yesterday’s picture.
Dione, you are an amazing wood worker! More like an artisan than a craftsman. The ship is beautiful- and the photoshopping magic isn't too shabby either!
. Hooray, hurray , hurrah. At least I`m a millionaire the rest of my life . Send me a message when you`ve save it up at all . A cent a day is fine with me.
It was n`t to difficult, I`ve built several models myself. The only problem was the dimensions to see so I`ve take two possibilities .
Is this a model of a Spanish galleon ? Great and beautiful works
I had a feeling you had something to do with the making of them, even though I could not figure out what you made them from! WOW are you ever talented!!!
