While at the Oratory where the statue of Christ Redeemer was, this lady walked in and when straight to the altar and knelt down in front of the niche, her eyes fixed on the statue of Christ. She was so concentrated on her prayers that she was oblivious of our presence. There was only Christine and me at the time so I grapped the camera and took a quick shot of her; I was very scared that she might notice me. Thank God she didn’t.
Thank you very much for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday’s picture.
This is quite beautiful Dione! And a blessing to me today- I have been thinking of writing a series of pieces for church on worship and this picture is a beautiful illustration of worship and prayer. I may tell this story in one of my pieces if I have your permission. fav
