21 st August. This is Miriam – one of the pleasure boats which row visitors to Bled Island. All these boats have different female names. On the second full day of our stay in Bled, I woke up early and at 6.00am was out on a wonderful morning walk before breakfast. The lake looked so beautiful and tranquil in the still morning. I wanted to walk right round the lake – there’s an asphalted path all around it – but had to turn back before I reached half way because I was pressed by time. I did this on another day with Christine it took us one and a quarter hours to cover the distance of around 7 km.
