We visited Valletta, on 13th December mostly just to watch people flitting from one shop to another. The weather was cool but not cold and people could still sit down at table in the open air and have a coffee or a drink and have a snack while watching the world go by. This shot shows Queen’s Square with the National Library in the background and a statue of Queen Victoria in the middle. On each side of a middle passageway the square is full of tables and chairs where people could relax over a cup of coffee or a snack. During the day these tables are full of people; in the evening, when the weather is cold but not rainy, gas heaters are lit around the tables.
Thank you very much for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday’s picture.
We are suffering from high daytime temperatures but it is lovely to sit outside once the sun has set. But what a different scene. Our brightest light is the glow of the setting sun on the smoke from grass fires. Farmers are doing their annual burn off after recent rain.
