OFF TO GOZO WE WENT

Sunday, 29th December, was a fabulous day for me, photography-wise, when I had a whole day of photo-shooting opportunities.
As if I hadn’t taken enough pictures during the morning, many more opportunities came as soon as we set foot in Gozo. The first thing that meets the eye when the ferry boat enters Mgarr Harbour is this beautiful chapel on the top of a ridge overlooking the port with the statue of Our Lady of Lourdes in a rocky niche just under it. Through the years I have taken hundreds of shots of this place. This time I decided to post the shot because I loved the blackening sky meaning rain was on its way after a beautiful sunny morning.
Thank you very much for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
Fantastic detail and focus to get the whole scene sharp. The town contrasts nicely with the dark sky too.

That must have been quite some feat of engineering to build that right up there. Must be a very steep path or quite a lot of steps! Great shot Dione.
