Half way through our transfer to Montesilvano we stopped at one of the services for a short break. In the distance, nestled under the mountains was this delightful town/village. I had to stretch my zoom lens get this shot (and others). It had snowed on the mountains just before we arrived in Italy and the white snow and clouds brought out further the beauty of the place. I wish I knew what the place is called, even for my own records.
Thank you so much for looking and for your lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
What an absolutely delightful sight. Amazing detail in your capture - and how nice the snow in the mountains had treated you to that beauty just before you arrived.
@paulaw Thank you so much for your comments and the fav. Actually the holiday was over a week ago; I'm only showing a few of the loads of shots I took then.
Gorgeous scenery! You could post the picture on the discussion board with the question, "Do you know where this is?" I'm sure a 365er from Italy will recognize it.
There are many other towns and villages nestled under the mountainous areas in Italy. Just that this shot came out very nicely. Thanks for your comments and proposition.
Just beginning this tour. If all the scenery is like this I'm going to have a wonderful night. Sorry for the late comments. May was a very busy month for me.
