Took this shot of one of the fountains adorning the grounds of San Anton Palace. It was not working at the time. The Palace is the official residence of Malta’s President. Before – in colonial days - it was the residence of the Governor General of Malta and previous to that a summer residence of the Grand Masters of the Order of St John. It was built as a hunting lodge by Grand Master Antoine de Paule in the early 17th century. Many modifications and renovations have taken place since then. The beautiful grounds of the palace are open to the public for them to enjoy.
World Cup. Argentina vs Switzerland – a game to forget. To me it was quite boring. Argentina won in the end with a goal during extra time.
Belgium vs USA. Not a very exciting match either. Belgium lost many scoring chances while I expected much more from the Americans. I don’t know yet the final result. As I started dozing when full time ended. I have recorded the rest of the match to watch later if I have time.

This is such a pretty scene. Looks like a banana tree in the middle....we have these here in great abundance. Would love to see more of the palace....looks so interesting! Also, the waters when the fountain is working. Beautiful capture. PS Do you see lots of Maltese doggies in Malta? They are so cute.
Such a luscious and vibrant scene - beautiful. Have given up on the World Cup have moved onto Wimbledon which has become very exciting with an Australian wild card beating a favourite.

LOL Dione- Belgium vs. USA may have been boring to you- but for us it was a nail biter until Belgium scored! Still, we almost had hope when USA put one in the next in overtime. All in all though, I think the better team won. Sad to see USA go, but it will now be interesting to see what Costa Rica can do! Nice shot!
I found out yesterday that the guy who serves me at the supermarket is maltease, that would explain he good looks;0)
