Shot taken last Saturday at the Street Art Festival.
There was too many people and too much noise from a band playing down in Independence Garden for our liking near the place where we usually sit with friends. So we moved a little inwards to a quieter area (not much success) of the promenade.
People were watching or chewing on some food or other. I have to say Maltese are like Nibbles, they rarely stop munching.
This shot shows the place. The view has completely changed during the last 4 or 5 decades. The apartment blocks across the street – very expensive to buy – have replaced a row of two- storey gorgeous Victorian (or Georgian houses) many of which I remember very clearly
Tour de France: not much to say about yesterday’s stage. Today is the time trial. We’ll see if Nibali will be up to it in this stage as well.
Thank you so very much for looking and for looking and your wonderful comments and fav’s on yesterday’s picture.
Fabulous Dione. I love the light reflecting in the water, and the little lights on the bridge in the foreground. I too would have wanted to find a quieter spot!. I worked with some Maltese girls every summer from 1961 - 1964 in a canning factory in Cambridge. We all enjoyed our food then. If I remember correctly they taught me the Maltese for bread - eva. (I only ever heard it said so have no idea of the spelling)
Lovely lighting and reflections, you do a lot of night photography Dione, I must get off my chair and not be lazy and try some night shots, in my defense it is the middle of winter. lol
Looks to be a whole lot of night-life going on across the water there. You take such neat night shots, ones that show it how it is in all its lived-in beauty.
Good eye, spotting my reflection in the eyes of that little black cat I photographed yesterday. As always, appreciate you're stopping by.
