Day 3 of our Tuscany holiday.
I don’t know what these creatures are called. I took this shot at the Tropical Section of the Pistoia Zoo. I liked the light and the clarity of this shot.
In there I saw the most horrid of alligators. You get the shivers looking at his dangerous teeth. But he kept to himself in a corner of his pond and I couldn’t take clear captures of him.
Many thanks for looking and for your wonderful comments and the fav’s on yesterday’s picture. They are very much appreciated; they made my day.
I am laughing Dione - I love reptiles - I do not find them horrifying or scary at all - lol - these guys if fully grown could be central netted dragons - if juveniles then they are a variety of bearded dragon - one of which I have here as a pet - he is gorgeous - beautifully photographed
They do look like bearded dragons, we have quite a few in the garden, scares the bejeezus out of me when I nearly stand on them as they bask in the sun. Saying that they are very docile and not at all threatening. Nice shot of these handsome chaps :)
I'm not really a reptile fan so I don't know what they are but I do like the way you took this shot with the one in front being the clearest and the dof blurring as the picture recedes. Good shot!
They are marvellous creatures- a link to dinosaurs, I think.
