Tuscany holiday – Day 5
Our second stop of the day was Panzano in Chianti, the most populous town in the chianti region. The oldest section of the town was on a steep climb dominated by the church of Santa Maria. It was sunny and hot and everyone, including this other family in front of us were walking in the shade and panting with the strain. But we made it to the top.
The church was completely rebuilt in the 19th century in the neoclassical style.

When I was traveling in Greece and we climbed a lot of steep hills I reminded myself that the exercise was counter-balancing all the food we were eating at dinner! Nice shot of a pretty church. I hope the shaded walk helped!
