Took this shot of one of the oranges produced by my orange tree together with one of the oranges Christine had bought from the supermarket. The one Christine bought – which is of normal size is the small one; the big one is one from my tree.
Last year my tree produced hundreds of oranges; this year the quantity was much smaller but each orange was the size of a grape fruit at least. As for the taste – heavenly!
Thank you very much for looking and for the lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
I know you won't have pumped water or anything else into your oranges so I would think it would taste a hundred times better! Your setting is interesting!
Love homegrown oranges. Looks like your one is wearing a top hat ;). P.s I think oranges and mandarins have one good year on one year off as the same thing has happened to my dad in the past.
Good work with the oranges! My husband is growing them in our greenhouse but they are not that big! Good shot to show up to the grocers what 'real' oranges are like
You are very lucky to collect your own oranges. Oranges are rich in C-Vitamin and they are good for preventing cold. I'm sure that your orange is more juicy and healthy than those that you can found out there :)
Oh wow! its so great to have an orange tree in your own background... we don't have orange tree here in our place. I can imagine the taste so fresh and heavenly. I love oranges... we can only get one from the supermarkets or fruit stand... Oh I love to have my own orange tree :D
Wow!!! So impressed by your orange crop!!! Great comparison to the one from the market, and I'm sure yours is so much sweeter and juicer than the kind we get in our stores!!!
P.S. Thanks for your comment on my great grandson! We are so totally blessed to have him and his brother who just turned 6. My mom died 4/6/13 and we got to take 5 generation pictures of the oldest when he was a baby. So thankful to have those pictures with the great great grandmother. Children are definitely a gift from God!!! I always enjoy your comments!!!
