We had a few guests for drinks yesterday evening. We had some lovely time helping it to pass away with lots of finger food and flowing whisky – for those who like it.
I am a disaster in the kitchen and the only thing I can make is a cup of instant coffee. But – and I say ‘But’ - nobody can make delicious canapés like I do. And this is my proof. I made at least 12 dozen of these. We were 10 grown-ups and two children and nothwithstanding all the delicious food Christine prepared we just devoured them.
I took this shot with the Panasonic FZ45 which has been lying idle for a year. I wanted to give it some work before it jams.
Thank you very much for looking and for all your lovely comments on yesterday’s picture.
what is the base for these canapés? It looks like a type of shortbread? Getting all the food to stand up nicely is really very skilful! I guess you just shouted - stand to attention - and they all did?
This is a feast for the eyes for sure. Wish I could make these or even cook something besides potatoes meat and gravy. But at 64 I am trying to learn to cook healthy.
Do you hire out? These are beautifully delicious!! Well done Dione and it is nice to be known for something in the kitchen. I am sure they are popular.
