This gull ( don’t know if it’s a he or she) seems to be a loner. It has set up a base on the rocks just below the promenade at St Julians where I have seen it year after year (not sure if it’s the same one though). Seems funny to me when all the see gulls live in a community or at least in pairs or more while this one is always on its own.
I was wrong yesterday, about the outdoor festivities of the feast of St Paul. They were all held according to plan as it did not rain after all – only, it was very cold. It was the day before yesterday that it was very rainy and the reason why it was being said that they would not be held.
Joke: A blond man is so excited waiting for the arrival of his first-born baby. While he was happily arranging the new room for the baby, his wife shouts; “Phone the hospital quickly, I’m having the contractions every two minutes!”
The man, over-excited, quickly picks up the phone, fiddles with the number which was already prepared at hand and dials the hospital. “Hello,” he screams into the mouthpiece, “My wife is pregnant and her contractions are only two minutes apart!"
The doctor, very calmly asks: “Is this her first child?"
"No!" the man shouts back, "this is her husband!"
Thank you so much for looking and for the lovely comments and the fav's on yesterday's picture.
Hahahaha, thank you for brightening my grey and overcast day Dione! I love your shot, I wonder if She/he knows there is a good stash of food in that seaweed and is keeping it secret?
Some like the solitude of their own rock compared to all the squawking that goes on when everyone's together. At least that sounds plausible, right? As for the joke, that was really funny!!
hahahah!!! sorry...still thinking about the joke. Nice having a male blond for a change!! Nice shot of the gull...have you ever seen a baby gull? I guess the juveniles are the brown ones, is that right?
