This is the first shot I am posting of the many I took last Saturday when I went to Chadwick Lakes. The picture shows water cascading down to the main water course which forms the Chadwick Lakes. These are not actual lakes. They are formed by dams erected along Wied il-Qlejgha to hold rain water that falls in the Rabat area from rushing down to the sea. The water is used for irrigation by the farmers during the dry Summer.
Joke: In the classroom, the teacher was discussing with the children the geography lesson they had learnt the previous day about the rock formation and the valleys which exist on the Maltese Islands.
At one point, the teacher turned to David and said It's clear that you haven't studied your geography. What's your excuse ?"
"Well, my dad says the world is changing every day . So I decided to wait until it settles down !"
Thank you very much for looking and for the lovely comments and the fav's. on yesterday's picture.
Clever boy those David.
