IRIDACEAE by sangwann

IRIDACEAE

In English: Chasmanthe. This plant grows wild in Malta’s countryside.
Three fillers before I post shots I took immediately before we went to Gozo and those I took in Gozo – which are many, many. I have to upload on the computer first.
Joke: One early morning, a man was looking out his window when he noticed that there was a snail on one of his beloved wild flowers. So he rushed out still in his pygamas, grabbed the snail and threw him as far as he could. Ten years later the man, now older by ten years, heard a tap tap tap on his window. He looked out and saw a very cross snail. The snail looked at him and
said, “Hey, you b****ard, what did you do that for?”

Thank you so much for looking and for all the lovely comments and the fav's on my pictures of the last 3 days.
Great DoF here Dione. That snail was lucky. At least he's the one that (mostly) got away
