Shot taken on Maundy Thursday.
We were lodged in a guest house in Sannat, a very quiet village close to Ta' Ċenċ Hotel and Cliffs. On our way out we wanted to visit the Altar of Repose of the Parish Church of the village. I stopped at the village square to allow Christine (wife) and Denise (daughter) to go check out if we could go into the church. At the same time I took the opportunity to take a few shots of the church front. I think the whole village was in that church at the time because the church function was still ongoing and the people were packed in there. The streets were deserted as you can see from the picture – the two ladies walking towards the church are Christine and Denise. We visited it on Good Friday.
Joke: A Sunday school teacher was telling her class the story of the Good Samaritan. She asked the class,
"If you saw a person lying on the roadside, all wounded and bleeding, what would you do?"
A thoughtful little girl broke the hushed silence, "I think I'd throw up."
Thank you very much for looking and for the lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
Thanks a lot, Tony. No, I have a tripod but I rarely use it. Nikon are very good at controlling noise and, till now, I think my hands are quite steady.
Your skills with the camera are so good! And I am so lucky to see something like this from my far outpost in the world! I do have books and google to find out more which is so good! fav
