Shot taken on Easter Monday. This is the end of my series on our Easter escape in Gozo. Hope you have all enjoyed it.
We arrived back in Malta just after mid-day and decided to stop for lunch in this lovely restaurant on the shoreline of Mellieħa Bay. As you can see, the sea here was very calm compared to that we encountered on our trip back from Gozo. The reason is because the bay is sheltered from the west winds. There was very little activity on the beach not like it was 3 weeks later when we went back for my birthday and it was over-crowded.
At the top of the hill is the village of Mellieħa.
Joke: A married couple decided to spend a week of relaxation at this holiday resort. The first thing they did was to hit the beach. After some time in the sun the husband went back to their room to get something to drink; one of the hotel maids was in there making their bed.
The man grabbed the cooler and was on his way out when he paused, looked at the maid and asked, "Can we drink beer on the beach?"
"Sure," she said, "but I have to finish the rest of the rooms first."
Thank you very much for looking and for all your lovely comments on yesterday's picture.
Great shot of this lovely calm sea and the beautiful coastline.
