I have been on holiday with Christine, my daughter, Denise and her husband, Ian and their son, Max. We had a wonderful holiday (and tiring, too) in the Black Forest. I have taken around 2000 pictures. Until I start sorting them out, here are a few fillers.
This is L-Isla’s main street.
Few people around – probably in church or getting ready for an evening out – it being a Saturday. L-Isla was heavily bombed during WWII because it was very close to the naval dockyard.
Joke: A small real estate broker in a small city was dismayed when a brand new corporate chain much like his own opened up next door and erected a huge sign which read BEST AGENTS.
He was horrified when another competitor opened up on his right, and announced its arrival with an even larger sign, reading LOWEST COMMISSIONS. The small real estate broker panicked, until he got an idea. He put the biggest sign of all over his own brokerage - it read... MAIN ENTRANCE.
2000 photos! Wow!! That must have been a fantastic vacation. I will be looking forward to seeing those shots. In the meantime, this shot has a lovely vintage feel to it although you can tell it's quite modern. Nice shot!
