TIMING DEVICES

Shot taken on 27th June – Second day of our vacation.

Like I said yesterday, there were thousands of clocks and watches to see at the Furtwangen Clock Museum – all beautiful pieces. I took many shots in there and it was difficult to chose which to post. So I opted for these two clock mechanisms.
Joke: While proudly showing off his two-roomed lodging to a friend and old buddy , Joe led the way into the den. “What is the big brass gong and hammer for?” his friend asked. “That is my old talking clock,” the man replied. “How’s it work?” the friend asked. “Watch,” Joe said; then proceeded to give the gong an ear shattering pound with the hammer. Suddenly someone screamed from the other side of the wall, “KNOCK IT OFF, YOU JERK! It’s two AM!”
Thank you so much for looking, for your endless support and for putting my shot on pp once again.
How fascinating. Must be a very interesting place to visit.
