Shot taken on 27th June – Second day of our vacation.
I took these shots while we followed the waterfall down to the town of Triberg. The sequence is from top left to right and then from bottom left to right. We entered the passage leading to the falls through this arch and walked down the steep pathway, stopping to take shots from wooden bridges that crossed the falls and served as view points. I was lucky as at first I had offered to allow the ladies to proceed to Triberg with Max while I walk back to get the car with Ian – it was a steep uphill walk of over a km for sure. Ian was so kind to walk all the way up by himself.
Triberg Falls is one of the highest waterfalls in Germany with a descent of 163 m (at between 711 and 872 metres above sea level).
Joke: Two young boys, Joe and John, were enjoying themselves watching a waterfall when they suddenly saw a naked women being carried away by the ferocious current. Joe wanted to help the lady who appeared in distress but John just ran away. Joe tried to call him back but to no avail. Later that day Joe asked John: “Why did you run away? John replied: “My mother has thought me that if I look at a naked woman, I would turn to stone... And I was already becoming hard !”
