Taking a short break from our vacation narrative to show some shots of a Sliema Arts Festival held during this week-end.
No photography for me during the day in Summer as the morning is passed swimming and a good nap in the afternoon to be able to stay out late in the evening to enjoy the breeze.
These are some of the paintings which were being carried out during the festival. Spray paint was used in most of them, many were still not yet completed when I took my shots. I liked the one in the main picture most.
Joke: While admiring the work of the artists participating in an arts exhibition a guy notices an attractive woman artist waving at him. Not sure if she was waving at him, he asks”, "Do you know me?"
To which she replies, "I think you're the father of one of my kids."
Now his mind travels back to the only time he has ever
been unfaithful to his wife and says, "My God, are you
the stripper from my bachelor party, that I made love
to on the pool table with all my buddies watching???"
She looks into his eyes and says calmly, "No, I'm
your son's teacher."

How fascinating to be able to see the artists at work! It couldn't have been easy for them, they don't have the best light to work in there, although it does make for some very atmospheric and interesting captures and a fab montage.
