Shot taken on day 7 of our Black Forest vacation – 2st July 2015
On the seventh day of our vacation we went to Konstanz and Mainau Island. Konstanz is on the shore of Lake Geneve, Mainau Island is a small island (part of Konstanz) separated from the land by a few metres of water and linked to the mainland by a small bridge. Mainau is maintained as a garden island and a model of excellent environmental practices.
These sort of ducks or gulls were happily paddling along the smooth waters of the Lake.
Joke: Two ducks cross each other on Lake Geneve. One went "Quack quack!"
And the other duck said "Thats funny I was just about to say that!"
Thank you very much for looking and for the lovely comments and on yesterday's picture.
The one on the left looks rather like the Crested Grebes we see here in the UK and I think the one on the right may be a Black Headed Gull (typically chocolate colour head in summer).
Nice shots of them and a good diptych too.
The right one I do n`t know. Great shots.
Nice shots of them and a good diptych too.
