After our exciting boat trip to the Rhine Falls we returned to the river basin where the water was calm and tranquil. This swan was enjoying the sun impervious to the torrents of water that were pouring down from a short distance away.
With this shot I have come to the end of my holiday narrative. I hope you have enjoyed it as much as I have in showing it. It is always difficult for me to choose which pictures to post out of the hundreds (or thousands) that I take each time. This time it was circa 2000.
Joke: A couple of young boys were fishing at their special spot on the River Rhine, off the beaten track. All of a sudden, the Game Warden jumped out of the bushes.
Immediately, one of the boys threw his rod down and started running through the woods like a bat out of hell. The Game Warden was hot on his heels.
After about a half mile, the young man stopped and stooped over with his hands on his thighs to catch his breath, so the Game Warden finally caught up to him.
"Let's see your fishing license, Boy!" the Warden gasped.
With that, the boy pulled out his wallet and gave the Game Warden a valid fishing license.
"Well, son," said the Game Warden. "You must be about as dumb as a box of rocks! You don't have to run from me if you have a valid license!"
"Yes, sir," replied the young guy. "But my friend back there, well, he doesn't have one."
Many thanks for all your kind and lovely comments on all the pictures, on the fav's and for putting many of them on tp and or pp. Your support is so much appreciated.
You need something calming after the excitement of the falls. I've enjoyed the photos from your trip. It looks like it was a wonderful holiday. This is very nice.
Lovely capture.
