We made it to Marsalforn just in time for dinner. But I couldn’t go into the restaurant before taking a few shots of the ‘Menqa’ and Calypso Hotel. I may be corrected but as far as I know menqa means a sheltered enclosure for boats and that is why you can see boats on land around the menqa.
Joke: A women’s lib promoter decided to give a talk about women’s rights at Calypso Hotel one evening. When she saw the large group which had gathered in the hall she started her address in a loud almost aggressive voice: “Where would man be today if it were not for woman?”
She paused a moment and looked triumphantly around the room. “I repeat, where would man be today if it were not for woman?”
From the back of the room came a man’s voice, “In the Garden of Eden eating strawberries.”
