In the village square of Marsaxlokk is the parish church dedicated to Our Lady of Pompey. This church brings lots of memories to Christine and me. When JP (Jean-Pierre – my son) was born almost 44 years ago we presented him to the venerated statue of Our Lady of Pompey. We have never been inside this church since then.
We presented our second born, Denise, to Our Lady of Good Health in Rabat.
In our days, it was the custom to present our newborn babies to our ‘preferred’ saint so that the latter would protect our baby from harm and danger. Many still do that even today.
I wanted to do some aggressive processing on this shot. This is the result.
Thank you so much for following my project and for the kind comments and the fav's on yesterday's picture.
The processing works well with the image Fav.
