This is how the day started yesterday and it is not in b&w. I have under-exposed the shot to bring out further the sun rays coming through the clouds. It was like this till around 8.30a.m. while Christine and I were having breakfast in the garden. There was also a fresh breeze which we do not have in the Summer months.
We had been swimming the day before under bright sunlight. But Christine couldn’t get used to the water temperature and said it was cold. On my part I think it was wonderful as long as you moved around and worked your body. In fact a friend of mine and myself swam all the way across the bay and back (at least 1.5 km) as we often do.
In yesterday’s conditions Christine said “I’m not coming swimming in this kind of weather” and I said ”Then I’m not going either.”
To be continued tomorrow ……
Thank you very much for looking and for all your comments and the many fav's on yesterday's picture.
What a powerful sky image , those threatening clouds yet the sun rays are marvellous Very much like our British weather at the moment Dione --and we also lament "where is summer ?"
very nice picture. ever since we got back from Greece its been yucky here too .... rain, storm, some more rain ... sunny spots here and there but today is utterly grey
Although it's quite lovely I understand the disappointment! However, I am not complaining about our cool summer as I do not like the heat or the humidity we usually have by now. So I'm enjoying the "cold" summer! Sorry that Christine is not.
cool composition dione
