One of the watch-towers of Fort St Angelo looks over two super yachts in Birgu. If you look closely there is another one at the tip of Fort St Michael on the other side of the entrance of this creek, known as French Creek. The Order of St John and Malta used to keep its fleet in this creek. Now the whole creek is a yacht marina.
The whole of the Grand Harbour was the main port of Malta up to a few decades ago. It is now mostly reserved for cruise liners and for for yachting.
Thank you so much for looking and for the comments and fav’s on yesterday’s picture.
Bet those watchtowers could tell a few stories! Although I can appreciate that the boats have a beauty of their own, I never hanher to be in one, The slightest ripple causes me to be ill !
Excellent shot and wonderful processing! Wow! Those yachts certainly are amazing! I've never been on one of those. Enjoyed the background information! :-)
You waiting is over. To day the first one of more.
