Shot taken a few weeks ago on a day when Max had no school and together we went for a photo shoot at Mġarr (Malta). Max is 6 years old, has his own little camera and he enjoys it when I tell him to get it along – making sure the camera batteries are fully charged.
This Castello is a 19th-century Victorian countryside villa on the outskirts of Mġarr, Malta. The villa was built by the Sant Cassia family as a honeymoon retreat. Francis Sant Cassia, the owner of the building, was murdered there in 1988. I may be wrong, but I don’t recall that the murderer was ever caught. The Sant Cassia family sold the property a year later, in 1989. It is now used as a wedding venue.
Many thanks for all your views, comments and favs. Always much appreciated.
A good idea to start them young, there's so much to enjoy with photography and it can make a great aid to learning about the world in general.
Pleasingly minimalist composition, the placement of the building works well for impact.
Great composition and beautiful colors. Max must have enjoyed his camera shoot with you. So cute. My granddaughter had an interest in photography and I love it.
Slightly macabre as a wedding venue with its history in a way! What a lovely building though. I am sure Max really enjoys being out photographing with you.
Great capture of this wonderful villa.
