MĠARR IX-XINI

Another view of Mġarr ix-Xini . The entrance to this deep and stunning valley is reached by car or a hike from Sannat or Xewkija. The road is very narrow and can only take one car at a time – there are no lay-bys and a lot of manoeuvring has to be carried out if one meets another car coming from the opposite direction - luckily we didn’t meet any.
I had prepared this shot yesterday to post today. In the meantime on yesterday’s news portals I read that two persons – a Gozitan man and an English lady - were found dead after a suspected gas leak incident in Mġarr ix-Xini, So far, no foul play is suspected. From the picture published in the papers the building where the incident happened is the highest one in this shot. Read more on this link: https://www.timesofmalta.com
