Last Sunday was the feast of Stella Maris (Our Lady Star of the Sea). This was the parish where I was brought up in Sliema. There was a promise that on the eve there would be some great fireworks so together with my sister and het husband we decided to go and watch.
There were thousands of people waiting for the for show to begin. This is just one corner of The Strand from where one could watch.
Weather is not coperating in Sicily - one whole rainy day, yesterday.
