For those who don’t know, Gozo is the second biggest island in the Maltese archipelago. It is around 25 minutes away from Malta by ferry.
This is the first in my series of pictures I will be posting of our lovely week-end in Gozo. I chose a collage of some of the shots I took to show you common scenes we see on the way.
Top left is the berthing quay for the ferry at Cirkewwa (Malta). Two ferries can moor – one on each side – another on another quay close by.
Top right is another ferry coming in to load passengers and vehicles of all sorts. At peak times, the ferries carry out shuttle service not to let passengers wait for too long.
Bottom pictures show the rugged coastline of Comino, the third biggest island in the Maltese archipelago. If you enlarge big enough you can see tourist ferries in Blue Lagoon – a very popular and beautiful swimming location on the island.
Many thanks for your views, comments and fav's on yesterday's picture. Very much appreciated.
