Max and I walked down the narrow strip of land consisting of rocks and worn out steps right down to the sea except for a couple of metres because there was a deep puddle of water that barred the way and I didn’t want Max to slip or get wet. In fact I had to be very careful not to let him fall and hurt himself. These are three of the shots I took as we walked down.
About yesterday’s legend there is more to say. Remember me saying that Count Roger liberated Malta from Arab dominance in 1091 That is history. The legend continues that the people gave him such a big welcome that he cut a small piece of his flag and gave it to the Maltese which was so treasured that it was made our national flag: half red and half white (the George Cross was added after 1942). Count Roger’s flag was like the Coat of Arms of Croatia which is like a chequered board in red and white. The cut piece contained two squares – one red and one white.
Thank you so much for looking and for the comments and fav’s on yesterday’s picture.
Nice shots, but I find it distracting to see them all together like this. Maybe just me, but I think they would be more compelling images one at a time.
