Another long walk from the Palau de la Música Catalana (my post of yesterday) took us to this amazing gothic basilica only to our great disappointment to find it closed. It was around 5.00pm but somebody told us it will reopen at 5.30pm. So we waited and were rewarded with this most perfect examples of Gothic style architecture. Most perfect is because, unlike most of the other gothic churches, it was built in just 55 years between 1329 and 1384 avoiding the many architectural changes which take place during long periods of time as happened in other churches.
This is the main altar partly surrounded by high-rising columns and is the shot I liked most of those I took in the basilica.
Many thanks for your views, comments, and FAV’s. They are very much appreciated.
