From my walk along Wied id-Dis
As I walked along the road in the direction of Madliena I saw this strange hive-like structure down in the fields below. To me it looked like a hostel or an apartment block for birds. Any different ideas? Amazing how many things you notice when you have a camera in your hand.
Nothing was growing in the fields – probably they are, The soil must have been carried away by the rain year after year – when it does rain – and this is the bottom of the valley. You can see the partitions of the land into small fields, maybe getting smaller and smaller when they are inherited and shared between children according to the will of dead person.

Beautiful bird house but so very interesting about the fields. They don’t look like they will produce much crop of anything but I dare say the owners will be proud if their bit of land....land us such a status in most counties. I can’t get over them getting smaller & smaller as they are split up in a will.
