Went to a different church today....loved the flower planter at the door.
But it was an unforgettable service......with the final part taking place along the path at the river where five people, each with their own stories, were baptised. Haven't seen this before!
Looks wonderful Sallie ! I have never seen a baptism this way either!! We had first Holy Communion at ours this morning & the organ music was my undoing today having said goodbye to Brian & Les last night !!
Oh I understand that.......I used to get so homesick at church when I first left home........but still better to feel deeply than not get emotional at times like these!
@jmj Yes it really was special....a 14 year old, a seventy something (?) and three in between; three women and two men and each one very special! And over 200 of us on the bank! So glad the weather was fine...
yesterday we would all have been soaked to the skin!
Hi Sarah- thanks so much for the follow. I'm looking forward to more pictures of Scotland now that I'm following you! My family tree traces back to Edinburgh and Hamilton and hopefully someday (Lord willing) I will be able to see those places. Till then I'll enjoy seeing Scotland through your eyes. This looks like it was a wonderful service! How cool to be baptised in a river that way. I had the awesome blessing of being baptised in the Jordan River, which except for the trees, didn't look too much different than this. Lovely collage!
@olivetreeann Thank you Ann.....lovely to share. It's impossible to put into words how much I love this project.......for what I see differently in my own corner and for all that is shared from others.
