To celebrate it's 800th Anniversary a charity concert was held in the grounds of the castle. It was a fabulous afternoon......sunshine, warmth, no wind and the most amazing venue! Difficult to say how many were there but everyone seemed to be having a very good time.
Performers local and more famous were superb and had everyone clapping, dancing and enjoying the music.

Fantastic collage! I just have a hard time imagining the celebration of something that is 800 years old! Wow! It must be so interesting to see things that are so historical.

thanks everyone - I think we sometimes take these lovely historic places for granted around here. There are so many to visit in our area but special events help us see them in new light!
