Today is my friend Clare's birthday. She is a gardener through and through though she has worked in other settings from time to time.
As I dropped off her birthday card this morning I just had to take a photo of all the lovely growing things at her door. It's right on the little street and is always full of colour.
We have been friends for almost 20 years but their house has been for sale and is now 'under offer' so they are likely to move away before her next birthday comes along. Since the children all grew up we don't see each other nearly so often but friendships from these school playground days last a long time and across lots of distances!
