At the end of a challenging week at work it was lovely to set off for Aberdeen for food, cinema stop and overnight stay in preparation for some shopping tomorrow! Don't often see the city centre in the dark!
The lights no longer include 'the Christmas Story'.....it's now the winter festival theme! But the music hall is looking splendidly sparkley!

It was pretty and one of the lovely things the next morning was hearing some beautifully sung traditional carols with the real story in gift shops and in Starbucks. In fact I went up to a member of staff at the counter and asked him to let the management know how lovely it was to hear the traditional carols .....he was delightful and even told me which CD it was! Now I've forgotten but I was happy to let him know and we had a good little chat!
I always think when you live in a quiet place that it's lovely to see a bit of life but always nice to creep back home !! We were like real country cousins in Manchester last night ...the crowds !!!!

definitely Pat! It's always nice to get back home especially when it's not too far to go back to town if we need to. We're very fortunate to have so many choices!
