Wow yesterday was wild! I felt like a little girl being blown up the road on my way home from school, and it got wilder and wilder as the evening passed. This morning I noticed that part of an old dead tree had crashed down on the drive next to our house..................and further along there was lots of debris from another one which had crashed into a tall tree on our side of the drive bringing lots of stuff down! Could have been a lot worse but lots of tidying up to be done!
I truly understand how those windstorms go- we've had our fair share of limbs and branches coming down in the backyard. Thankfully we've never had anything come through the roof. I'm glad to see that everything that fell in your neighborhood landed in a "good spot". If you want to clean the trees up without lifting a finger- put a "free wood" sign on it and let the wood burners do the rest! (o:

Well....Andy at the manse and another Andy from the church (with a chain saw) worked on it for a couple of hours and I think the drive is clear. Not sure who will use the firewood!
thats a load of firewood there.
Could have been a lot worse. The second tree fell against one on our side of the drive and if it had fallen on our house......................:( http://365project.org/lornareid/365/2011-12-09
