Happy Christmas by sarah19

Happy Christmas

Well! The tree is up!
I always enjoy opening the boxes that contain all the decorations we have collected over the years. And, without meaning to sound melancholy, I always wonder what will have happened to me, and to us, when I pack them away in January!
Last January I felt sad and fearful about some things in my life. But as an individual and as a family we have come through challenges, and experiences, in amazing ways. As I hung each of the little tree ornaments in their special places I felt hugely thankful for all the positives of the year.
Thankful to Allan for his love and support, thankful to the 'B Team' who have had their own challenges but who also help me in so many different ways; thankful to my amazing parents who share their love so generously day by day, and to my friends here in Oldmeldrum, and beyond, who make all the difference in the world.
And thankful to all of you on Project 365 for your positiveness and sharing through out the year. It has been a joy sharing with you, enjoying your pictures and your comments on mine.
Most of all I feel thankful to God, our gracious and loving Heavenly Father, who sent us Jesus, so we would know His amazing love!
May each of you know His care and presence as you celebrate Christmas this year.
Happy Christmas!

What a lovely tree and loving words to go with it. I do the same thing as I hang my ornaments- think about when I got it, who gave it to me and all the things that have happened throughout the years. Thankfully there are so many good memories and all the challenges have been met by the grace of God. Wishing you and yours a wonderful Christmas and a blessed 2012!
