These little characters live in our hall all year but it's fun to dress them up for Christmas. The mice we bought at Skye Batiks when they had a store at Armadale - crossed the ferry from Malaig.....a lovely trip if you are in Scotland!
They had connections with Sri Lanka and I found them on a web site there......click of a button and we can find anything nowadays!!!! http://barefootceylon.com/toys/
Statler and Waldorf were presents to Allan a few years ago....I just imagine the conversation they would have about being tinseled!!
And the clogs.....they were a gift from Ramona who was over from The Netherlands and stayed with us for a few months many years ago! One says Ramona and the other says Thank you!

Glad you like them! I think it's the stories around these 'things' that make me so reluctant to part with them......but there are so many and I sometimes think I need to do a 'life laundry' and just be ruthless!
But not yet!
How fun! I have a gazillion!! things in my home with such stories. A friend of ours used to call our place "The LeFevre Museum" because I had so many interesting doodads. These are wonderful!
