In the bursts of sunshine between the showers Allan and I both (at the same time!) noticed the beginnings of green on our weeping beech tree................magic!
What a joy to see it at last!
Three good things
1. Sports day happened.....well mostly - had to finish early but the children had fun and lots of smiles as they saw the photos on the Smartboard later in the day!
2. I found some work that I'd forgotten I'd done in my folder!!! YEA!!!
3. Inside looking out on the garden as the temperature drops again and the rain showers pour!

thanks to you all! I took this from half way across our family room through the window as the sun would have got in the way had I been any closer! It has turned out really well considering all that! I think it was the grey sky and the light that worked showing up the new growth so clearly!
