Eilidh (niece) and Sheila (sister) preparing strawberries for lunch.......
I think Eilidh is so like her mum was ......and I saw it again here.
And lots of times I'm mistaken for Sheila, sometimes even by people who have known me/us
for some time! I always take that as a complement as she is 10 years younger.
Her children were asking how old she was when I left home to go to university......just 7 ...the same age as her youngest son is now. That was quite a thought! But I got to know her better when I started teaching and was at home every weekend for a couple of years.
She's a great mum, sister, friend!
Three good things
1. Strawberries from the garden
2. Raspberries from the garden
3. Lunch with strawberries and raspberries!!!
Such a lovely photo of your sister & niece Sallie...I never knew you had a sister!! Beautiful girls too!
A little like that at our house I left home when my brother was quite young & I never felt I knew him properly until we got older.
@happypat Thanks Pat.....now don't you remember guests from near London who arrived at your previous farm for B&B very late one night on their way north? Actually I also have 3 other sisters and 2 brothers! And I am the oldest but wearing quite well I hope!
@sarah19 Oh my goodness so I do...I cringe when I think of that night...had forgotten all about it till now thank goodness....she looks lovely & has forgiven me I hope!!! Big family, what fun !!
@happypat nothing to forgive on your part Pat! They were very grateful!
Yes there is a lot of fun in a big family and a fair share of disagreement! But lots of cousins for the grandchildren and they are very friendly, facebook each other etc!
