Allan's delight

I can't resist including this in my 'record of the year'!
Allan picked this card up at an energy saving event at work and is delighted when he gets home from work and finds a temperature in the 'comfortable' zone so we don't need to put the heating on! I have resorted to extra jumper and socks......and sometimes he gives in!!!
It's something of a family joke now but it's quite rare to have had so many weeks where we didn't need to think about heating.
David and Jenn (in Kiev) are not so comfortable at their apartment as the the government controls when to turn off and on the heating. You don't get a thermostat. Just radiators and the government sends the hot water through them when it feels it has become cold enough. So they are wearing several layers of clothes to sleep!
Three good things
1. warm days even at the end of summer
2. the freedom to choose when to put heating on or off!
3. laughter.............such a tonic!

How fascinating is that...I wouldn't like someone to tell me when to put the heating up or down...ours is on tonight as we have B&B in but have managed for weeks with out it thank goodness!
