Just before I head for bed....here is the work of the day! I have been at the sewing machine since 10.00am and apart from making some food for tea have been busy trying to get the curtains finished.
Allan was painting.........a bit......the colour we bought yesterday - we thought it matched the colours on the curtain swatch - really didn't work in daylight so we will have to rethink that!! It looks very busy after having plain curtains.....but the walls which were busy are plain now so I think I'm happy with it!
Three good things
1. A bitter day outdoors so good to be busy inside!
2. Plenty left over fabric to revamp some cushions.
3. The thought of a cosy bed and resting after the exertions of the day. Lifting the weight of curtains to move it at the sewing machine and hanging them (though thankfully Allan helped) has left me with aching shoulders! Think I need some Pilates tomorrow!
PS The real effect is not as yellow as this!! Natural light will be interesting in the morning.
Pretty colours and a great day spent stitching. I've got some curtain material for the Grandchildren's room. Hope to get them made up in time for next weekend!
