I quickly took this picture when I was heading to bed last night. When I met him, a long time ago, Allan was a superb guitarist. Over the years he played for himself, with good friends and taught several others. Then working away from home and studying took up his music time and the guitar cases were closed.
It's so lovely to hear it out again!
Three good things
1. Lovely sunshine and running time outdoors with little people.
2. Leftover roast chicken for tea.
3. Chocolates brought by my friend.....still a few left......😊
Music is a lovey way to relax besides making beautiful music. When I was young we had no music much in the house at all, I've no idea why, we had the radio on but my parents never seemed to have music playing at all. Perhaps they didn't in those days although Harry learnt the piano when he was young. Allan looks engrossed & it's great he's taken to playing again

Thank you for your lovely comments.
It's so interesting how different music in homes can be. Allan's family are good singers but didn't play instruments apart from him teaching himself guitar....amazingly well!!
Our home was full of piano, violins, cello, and singing sounds ....and Dad still managed to read his newspaper in the corner chair!!
Here we had lots of guitar, cello, flute, piano and saxophone, and endless music . When Susannah left home that was what we missed most, the sound of her piano playing and saxaphone and CDs.......took a long time to get used to.
@sarah19 I think that's what Cathy missed when Jack left home, he was always on the piano or guitar. Cathy played the flute in our house but generally we are not a musical family unfortunately although Jack must get it from somewhere. Your musical family sounds lovely!
