We did have fun with some of the leftover Christmas Tree branches and some other natural materials I took to school today!
Each week groups of children have 45 minutes of OTTER Club with others from their House and I've been drafted in to lead some of this. My title is Life Skills but I'm not sure how accurate it is! I hope we'll be able to do some gardening things in a few months but up till now I've had an assortment of activities that they can do in little groups, puzzles and magnetic resources, etc. After yesterday's session I decided to take some natural things in and it was such a success once a few of them had the courage to have a go!!!
They could easily make up a good story with this one. The 'grassy' bit at the bottom is some dried lavender I'd had in a vase since last summer and the smell in the room was lovely!! There were positive comments as soon as they came in!!
Three good things
1. Our Time Together Enhancing Relationships......we have an OTTER on our school badge so some clever person came up with the title for club time!!
2. Porridge for breakfast.....early!! Allan usually has muesli but had run out so I got up and made it for both of us!
3. Lots of positive chat with colleagues at the end of the day!
Thank you for all your lovely comments. I think they were all very calm with the lavender aroma 😄😄
